How Mumbai Footprints collects, uses and protects your information.

What we collect

When you use the booking form, call, WhatsApp or email us, we collect the details you share: your name, phone number, email address, travel dates, group size, hotel or pickup address, and any special requirements or interests. We do not ask for payment card details through this website.

How we use it

We use your details to reply to your enquiry, prepare and confirm your quote, arrange your chauffeur and guide, and look after you during your tour. We may also contact you about your booking or, if you subscribe to our newsletter, send travel updates and offers. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Who we share it with

We share only what is needed to run your tour, such as your pickup details and itinerary with your assigned guide and chauffeur, and with boat, venue or event partners involved in your booking. We do not sell your personal information.

Third-party services

This website loads fonts, icons and images from third-party providers, and links to WhatsApp. These providers may receive technical information such as your IP address under their own privacy policies. If you message us on WhatsApp, that conversation is also governed by WhatsApp's terms.

Cookies and local storage

The site stores your light or dark theme choice in your browser. We do not use this to identify you.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and booking records for as long as needed to serve you and to meet legal and accounting requirements, then delete or anonymise them.

Your choices

You can ask us to show, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. Write to mumbaifootprint@gmail.com and we will respond as soon as we can.

Terms of Service

The terms that apply when you book a private tour or event car with us.

Bookings and quotes

Prices on this website are shown in INR and USD as a guide. Your concierge confirms the final quote, including group size and add-ons, before you pay anything. A booking is confirmed only when we confirm it to you in writing, by email or WhatsApp.

Private tours

Every tour is private to your group, with a chauffeur and an expert local guide. Itinerary stops and timings can be adjusted on the day to suit your pace, subject to traffic, venue timings and safety.

Changes and cancellations

Message your concierge as early as you can and we will help you reschedule. The exact cancellation and refund terms are confirmed in writing when you book, and those written terms apply to your booking.

Weather, closures and events beyond our control

Some attractions close on certain days, for example Elephanta Caves are closed on Mondays, and boat services can be limited during the monsoon. Heavy rain, traffic, public holidays, security restrictions or government orders can also affect a plan. If this happens, we will suggest a suitable alternative or a new date.

Event car service

Chauffeur-driven cars for weddings, corporate events, premieres, concerts and parties are quoted on your date, venue, guest count and number of cars, and are confirmed in writing.

Your responsibilities

Please give accurate booking details, be ready at the agreed pickup time, carry valid ID, and respect local laws, heritage sites and the safety instructions of your guide and chauffeur. Please look after your own belongings during the tour.

Studio and celebrity experiences

Bollywood studio access depends on shooting schedules and studio permissions. Celebrity sightings are never guaranteed.

Limits of liability

We plan every tour with care, but we are not responsible for loss or delay caused by events outside our reasonable control, or for third-party services such as ferries, attractions and venues. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under applicable consumer law.

Changes to these terms

We may update this page from time to time. The version on this page on the date of your booking applies to that booking.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra have jurisdiction, subject to any rights you have under applicable law.

Before your tour

Share your pickup location, group size, interests and any mobility, dietary or accessibility needs in the booking form. The more we know, the better your guide can plan the day.

Pickup and timing

Your chauffeur collects you from your hotel or address in Mumbai at the agreed time. Mumbai traffic varies a lot, so your concierge will message you if the plan needs to shift.

Dress and comfort

Dress comfortably and modestly for temples, mosques and heritage sites, and wear walking shoes. Carry water, sunscreen and a light rain cover in the monsoon months, June to September.

Photography and respect

Photography rules differ by site and some places restrict it. Your guide will tell you where it is allowed. Please be respectful at places of worship and with local people.

Safety

Keep valuables close in crowded places, follow your guide's instructions near traffic, water and boats, and wear the life jackets provided on boat trips.
